Bedsores Prevention

“Enriching the art of healing”

Bedsores also known as pressure ulcers and decubitus ulcers, are injuries to the skin and underlying tissues, resulting from prolonged pressure on the skin. These ulcers mostly develop on the skin that covers bony areas of the body, such as the heels, ankles, hips and tailbone.

Our experienced team of doctors and nursing staff at Ucchvas, do a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s general medical condition and clinical assessment of the wound. We identify the areas of skin damage and evaluate for length, width and depth, presence of sinus tracts, necrotic tissue, or exudate and evidence for healing such as the presence of granulation.

Types of bedsores we take care of:

• Stage 1 – Skin intact but with non-branchable redness

• Stage 2 – Partial-thickness loss of skin with exposed dermis

• Stage 3 – Full-thickness loss of skin

• Stage 4 – Full-thickness skin and tissue loss with exposed or directly palpable fascia, muscle, tendon, ligament, cartilage, or bone

At Ucchvas, our bedsore prevention and management goals include:

• Redistribute Pressure

• Control Pain

• Control Infections

• Optimize Nutrition
