Meet Kola Janardhan, he is a 62-year-old, retired employee
In the fall of 2023, Janardhan’s life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with GBS syndrome and left lower lobe consolidation. Concerned for his well-being, the doctor at CNC hospital recommended specialized care at Ucchvas Rehabilitation center. With hope in their hearts, Janardhan and his family made the decision to embark on a journey towards healing.
On October 28, 2023. Janardhan was admitted to Ucchvas, where he confronted the harsh realities of his condition. Initially reliant on BiPAP oxygen support and grappling with Grade 2 bed sores, he found himself in a state of physical immobility. Unable to move his limbs or even sit up, he endured excruciating pain, compounded by the inability to speak and swallow.
Despite the overwhelming challenges, Janardhan’s spirit remained unbroken. With the unwavering support of the medical team at Ucchvas, he embarked on a journey of rehabilitation and renewal. Slowly but surely, Janardhan began to make progress. Within a month, he achieved a significant milestone: he could tolerate the pain without BiPAP oxygen. He was attended regular physiotherapy Sessions, initially conducted in his room but gradually intensified, marking the beginning of his steady recovery.
As days turned into weeks, Janardhan’s determination yielded remarkable results. By December, he was actively participating in physiotherapy sessions in the designated physio room. With each passing day, Janardhan’s progress became increasingly evident – he regained mobility in his limbs, reclaimed his ability to communicate, and took significant strides towards independence.
On February 25, 2024, after 4 months of unwavering perseverance and dedicated care, Janardhan reached a pivotal moment in his journey – he was discharged from Ucchvas. Walking without support and able to perform day to day activities with ease, he stood as a living testament to the power of the human spirit and the transformative impact of resilience and perseverance.
